Peace Tower 100th Anniversary Celebration
In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Peace Tower, the Friends of Mt. Rubidoux have several exciting events planned.
1) Join the Friends of Mt. Rubidoux on Saturday, December 13, for a celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the dedication of the Frank A Miller Peace Tower and Friendship Bridge. Meet at the area where the roads meet on the east side of the mountain at 2:00 pm for a walk to the Peace Tower. There, we will re-enact short segments from the Peace Tower Dedication Ceremony from 1925 and celebrate Peace and Friendship.

3) Come and see the new Mission Inn Foundation location and visit the gift shop and exhibit. The Friends of Mt. Rubidoux, together with the Mission Inn Foundation/Museum, proudly present On Peace and Friendship, an exhibit honoring the 100th anniversary of the Frank A. Miller Peace Tower and Friendship Bridge.

What have we been up to recently?
The Friends of Mt. Rubidoux, Riverside African American Historical Society, and Riverside Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department closed out Black History Month on Friday, February 28, 2025 @ 2:00 pm with a special commemorative event. A bronze tablet was placed near the summit of Mount Rubidoux, honoring the 1914 visit of Booker T. Washington, the renowned educator, orator, and advocate for African American advancement, alongside his host, Frank A. Miller, the founder of the Mission Inn.
